Context is Everything
Information Trees
This is the secret behind Raven.
Raven remembers the context whenever Records are created, and organizes then them into Information Trees.
Information Trees are a natural, human-centric way to create, organize and remember knowledge. This is simply how we think.
There are four types of Record: Topic, Update, Task and Meeting. A Topic forms the trunk. Updates, Tasks and Meetings are branches that "grow" from the trunk.
Updates, Tasks and Meeting Records can be a child or a sibling to an existing Record:
-
Child Records
These are added to the end of a branch and represent sequential actions/information;
-
Sibling Records
These are added alongside other Records and represent parallel actions/information.
Tree Management
By default, a tree's branches are organized by creation date. The branches can, however, be re-organized:
-
Move Branch
Detach part of a branch and re-attach it to another part of the Tree;
-
Re-Order Siblings
Change the order of siblings in the Tree, so that (for example) the more important concepts/actions appear first.
